BCBA/Homeschool Program Director (Pilot Program)

Wild Sun Behavioral Services is a rapidly expanding ABA organization that provides services across the Front Range of Colorado. What sets us apart from many of the other ABA providers in the area is our acknowledgment and appreciation of the individual behind the data. As a new and progressive ABA organization, we are seeking BCBAs who are interested in a collaborative partnership. We encourage and support our BCBAs to share new ideas and express themselves among a team that genuinely respects their experience, opinions, and creative contributions.

Wild Sun Behavioral Services is searching for a passionate, collaborative, engaging Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The ideal candidate will want to make a difference within a collaborative organization that offers flexibility, autonomy, creative approaches to problem-solving, and high quality services. QUALIFICATIONS

GENERAL

  • BCBA or BCBA-D certification
  • Masters in Special Education or closely related field
  • At least three years of experience directly implementing ABA
  • At least two years of experience supervising behavior technicians in the implementation of treatment plans
  • Must be proficient in assessment, identification of client/stakeholder needs, creation of appropriate and clinically beneficial treatment plans
  • Must be able to work well independently as well as part of a team in a leadership role
  • Able to collaborate with other BCBAs in the organization
  • Extreme attention to detail with the ability to successfully multitask

HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM DIRECTOR

  • Self-starter with creative approach to program development
  • Able to work independently and economically to create the infrastructure for the Homeschool Program
  • Capable of successfully identifying and implementing appropriate academic goals
  • Is willing to learn and utilize the following software systems: ClickABA (programming and program tracking) as well as Autism Curriculum Encyclopedia (ACE)
  • Proactive problem-solving
  • Well-rounded clinician able to work with diverse clients (ages, levels of functioning, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL

  • Complete a minimum of 25 billable hours per week (35 total weekly hours)
  • Administer and evaluate applicable assessment procedures
  • Collaborate with the client and their stakeholders to develop pertinent individualized goals and objectives based on functional assessment data
  • Train and supervise behavior technicians in the execution of all aspects of the clients behavior intervention plan
  • Provide consistent, high-quality supervision for behavior technicians
  • Coordinate the schedule of services between RBTs and clients
  • Actively participate in staff training programs designed to increase overall skills
  • Implement program plans and other instructional activities
  • Communicate in a professional and respectful manner during all interactions
  • Attend and participate in meetings, fundraisers, and other sponsored events
  • Function as an active member of the treatment team
  • Work with clients, consultants, staff, families, and community members to implement the client’s treatment plans (including parents/teacher training/consultation)
  • Effectively respond to and manage crisis situations, which may include client physical aggression
  • Complete daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner
  • Assist in the continued training and skill development of lower-level staff
  • Follow Wild Sun Behavioral Services, LLC’s policies and procedures

HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM DIRECTOR

  • Identify academic needs/goals for each client through assessment, collaboration with families/stakeholders, and as indicated by state requirements
  • Create comprehensive individualized programming to meet the behavioral (BIP) and academic (curriculum) needs of each client using the ACE curriculum
  • Develop a format for IEPs that is easy for parents to read and understand
  • Train and supervise RBTs and Special Education Instructors in the implementation of the behavioral and academic plans
  • Effectively establish a comprehensive Homeschool program that can be marketed to local families in need in an effort to successfully expand our service offerings to appropriate clientele

Behavior Technician

Behavior Technicians are trained to implement 1:1 behavioral intervention programs to children in home, community, or school settings. Initially, Behavior Technicians will participate in a training program that provides instruction on Applied Behavior Analysis, management of maladaptive behaviors, social skills development, and data collection techniques applicable to our client population. Training opportunities continue throughout employment as our Behavior Technicians receive on-going supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (College enrollment or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Reliable means of transportation with proof of auto insurance and Driver’s license
  • Must pass TB test and show proof of immunizations
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Must have afternoon and evening availability

REQUIREMENTS

  • Applies behavior principles consistently in all interactions with clients and takes accurate and reliable data for all areas of treatment
  • Implements Individualized Treatment Plans under the direction of the BCBAs and/or Program Supervisors
  • Assists clients to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills. This may include toilet training, eating, and other self-help skills
  • Supports all members of the staff and assists with ideas, suggestions and work duties
  • Actively participates in staff training programs designed to increase overall skills
  • Implements program plans and other instructional activities
  • Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/program supervisors, speech therapists, occupational therapists and administrative staff
  • Assists in creating instructional materials
  • Attends and participates in meetings, fundraisers, and other sponsored events
  • Observes, records, and reports the condition and behavior of the clients, including maintaining daily records during the day
  • Functions as an active member of the treatment team
  • Works with clients, consultants, staff, families, and community members to implement the client’s treatment plans
  • Consistently implements behavior plans to reduce client’s socially inappropriate behavior and promote appropriate social behaviors
  • Effectively responds to and manages crisis situations, which may include client physical aggression
  • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner
  • Follows Wild Sun Behavioral Services, LLC’s policies and procedures
