Heather grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Development & Family Studies from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Then earned her M.Ed. in Special Education from the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.

Heather completed her certification in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology and passed the Board exam in 2023.

Heather has lived in Colorado since 2012 with her husband Chris and 5 children. When not at the clinic, she is travelling to visit her children in college, watching sports, and playing with her animals.
