Jena was born and raised in California. She grew up riding and working horses on multiple ranches throughout Northern California. Jena has competed professionally within the Dressage, Show Jumping, and Cross-Country circles. Non-professionally she has worked in the Rodeo circuits, training Team Roping horses. She has worked as a Trail Guide and Wrangler in the June Lake, Ansel Adam Wilderness, and Yosemite National Forest region. The horsemanship experience and knowledge that she has acquired over her lifetime influences how she interacts with individuals of all ages.
Jena moved to Colorado in 2014 to attend the University of Colorado, Boulder. Completing her BA in Humanities degree, Jena gave horseback riding lessons at many animal-assisted therapy centers within Colorado by teaching adolescents and adults how to tap into their creativity while learning horsemanship skills.
Jena is currently attending a graduate program to obtain her MA in Counseling. She has her sights on becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Her passion for helping others identify hidden aspects of themselves has led her to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She is excited to further her knowledge and practice of ABA while working towards her RBT certification.
