Sam grew up in Colorado and was homeschooled through high school graduation until he moved to college at the University of Northern Colorado. 

He moved to the Fort Collins area and started working with individuals with disabilities and found that he enjoyed that kind of work.

When not working he likes to play board games with friends, go paddle boarding, play video games, and read.
