Avery was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended college at the University of Iowa, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. During his college experience, Avery discovered a passion for working with children by engaging in psychological research devoted to understanding factors that contribute to the development of behavior in early childhood and adolescence. Avery is currently pursuing his RBT certification with Wild Sun and has aspirations to obtain a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, with a focus on studying the interaction between parent and child behavior in association with later externalizing behavior problems.

 

In his free time, Avery enjoys spending time with friends, hiking, and watching basketball. He also loves trying new foods and hopes to improve his own cooking skills in the near future.
