Hi, my name is Sam! I was born in Minnesota but raised right here in Erie Colorado and love meeting people in and around my community. My favorite thing about Colorado is the plethora of outdoor activities all year round. I grew up camping, fishing, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, playing sports, and riding horses. I have 3 siblings, a younger sister and two brothers (older and younger) who all live in three separate states now!
I went to school at Colorado State University where I received my Bachelors in Science, majoring in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Health Promotion. When I finished school I had the opportunity to work with an amazing organization and participate in their youth and horse program. Since that experience, I decided to go back to school for my Masters in Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My end goal is to start my own equine program working with a diverse population of youth around my own community and teaching life skills through working with horses.
In the past I have worked with a variety of individuals who are disabled, but most were adults. I’m so excited to be a part of Wild Sun to get back to working with kids and learn from this new experience in the field of ABA.
